Benefits to In Home/Community Based ABA

  • Meeting the client where the behavior is occurring. If the behavior happens in the client’s home or community, it is usually helpful to work on these behaviors in their naturally occurring environments.
  • Work on relationships with siblings including how to problem solve during chores, and how to share and play appropriately.
  • Involve parents, family members, and natural support in the individuals’ treatment.
  • Early Intervention ABA can help develop behavioral skills! Studies have shown that ABA therapy is effective in helping autistic people learn skills. For example, one study found that the Early Start Denver Model helped children improve in IQ and behavior. It also decreased the severity of their Autism diagnosis.
  • Appropriate for teens and adults who are often working on skill building in areas of independent living goals such as time management and interview training.

At Cascade Behavior Solutions, we believe that the needs of those we serve can be best met by utilizing best practice in Applied Behavior Analysis, and through a partnership with the individual, their caregivers, and other professionals involved in their lives. Our goal is to positively impact our children and adults lives and provide caregivers and professionals the necessary skills to facilitate effective intervention and generalization.
